Geoffrey Tremayne LL B

Principal

Geoffrey Tremayne was admitted to practice in 1981 and oversees the litigation practice of the firm, regularly appearing as Counsel. He has substantial experience in local government and planning law, and has broad experience of major civil litigation, both at first instance and on appeal, and in both state and federal courts and statutory tribunals. He has a substantial workers compensation practice, acting for several insurers. He also undertakes work on behalf of the Motor Accidents Insurance Board.

Robert Fay LL B

Principal

Robert Fay was admitted to practice in 1979 and oversees the commercial practice of the firm, practicing as a solicitor in commercial, property, conveyancing and probate matters. He was senior partner of Hobart firm Creese, Crisp & Fay for twenty years and principal of Hobart firm Robert Fay & Associates before amalgamating with Jackson & Tremayne in January 2007. He was an active member of the Law Society of Tasmania Property Law Committee for 29 years (1981-2010).

Associate

Renee Spencer was admitted to practice in 2004 and principally undertakes civil litigation work, focusing on personal injuries, workers compensation and employment law. Prior to admission she worked as an Industrial Officer. She has appeared in the Magistrates Court and Supreme Court of Tasmania, the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Tribunal, state and federal industrial commissions and the Anti-Discrimination Commission.
